What's up with Justin Timberlake jocking Ashton Kutcher's style? First he scores an older girlfriend and now he's dabbling in the restaurant business. What next—a prank show on MTV? Timberlake teamed up with brothers Art and Allan Davis, who own three other trendy LA nightspots (including The Lounge, where Britney and Justin had their infamous dance-off) for this Shanghai-esque hotspot at the Hyatt Hotel. The restaurant/bar was designed by Dodd Mitchell, who created a slick and sexy ambience with indoor and outdoor waterfalls, a patio that's more like a very well-ventilated room and a bar that's usually three deep with Sunset Strip hunks and hotties.
More concerned about the food than the scene? (Yeah right.) Touted as a dim sum restaurant, Chi is actually nothing like a real dim sum restaurant. There are lobster potstickers, edamame dumplings, and samosa spring rolls. Can't decide? The sampler makes it easy. Craving bigger portions? The dinner menu has everything from vegetarian fried rice to honey lacquered duck breast. But back to the scene—Chi came out of the gate as a celebrity hangout, attracting the likes of Hilary Duff, Gwen Stefani and, of course, Timberlake and Cameron Diaz.
