Duran Duran and Justin Timberlake Team Up

English band Duran Duran announced their collaboration with Justin Timberlake and producer Timbaland on their new album. The band completed recording three tracks for their next album with producer Timbaland, one of which is a duet with Justin Timberlake. Duran Duran's lead singer Simon Le Bon said Justin had contributed "in a writing and production manner" on a forthcoming song that is expected to be a real success. Duran Duran was created by Nick Rhodes (keyboards) and John Taylor (bass) in 1989, with the later addition of Roger Taylor (drums), Andy Taylor (guitar), and Simon Le Bon (lead vocals). Although the group never disbanded, it went through several line-up changes over the years. The reunion of the original five members in the early 2000s created a stir among music media and the band's fans. Duran Duran released Astronaut from the reunited line-up in 2004. However, Andy Taylor dropped out of the band last month, but the band announced that they will continue recording the next new album, which is expected to be released in mid-2007.   source: spotlightingnews.com

Justin Timberlake is No. 1 on the Hot 100

NEW YORK, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Justin Timberlake's newest single, "My Love" featuring T.I., holds the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 -- Timberlake's second No. 1 in recent months. Akon's "Smack That" featuring Eminem holds steady as No. 2 on the Hot 100, while Fergie's "Fergalicious" jumps to No. 3, making it the chart's greatest sales gainer, Billboard.com reported Thursday. Ludacris drops to No. 4 on the Hot 100 with "Money Maker" featuring Pharrell, Hinder's "Lips of An Angel" slides to No. 5 and the Fray's "How To Save a Life" is No. 6. Justin Timberlake's former chart-topper "SexyBack" also falls to No. 7 on the Hot 100. Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" sits at the No. 8 spot while Beyonce blasts into the Top Ten with "Irreplaceable," which climbed from No. 24 to No. 9. Britney Spears can never forget her first love Justin Timberlake

Pop princess Britney Spears has dumped her husband, wannabe-rapper Kevin Federline, according to court documents obtained Tuesday. The Los Angeles County Superior Court filing cites "irreconcilable differences,'' court spokeswoman Kathy Roberts told The Associated Press. Rumors had swirled for months that the marriage between the pop princess and aspiring rap artist had turned rocky, but Spears said nothing in her Monday evening appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" to suggest that divorce was imminent. Observers noted, however, she was not wearing her wedding ring and celebrity magazines reported Tuesday that Spears was a no-show at a New York launch party last week for Federline's first album "Playing With Fire", Reuters reports. In the divorce papers, which do not mention a prenuptial agreement, Spears asks for custody of the couple's two children, with visitation rights for Federline. The filing does list as separate property, and thereby off-limits to Federline, "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal affects,'' earnings and other assets to be determined later. Spears married twenty-eight-year-old Federline in 2004 after ending a 55-hour Las Vegas marriage to her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, ctv.ca reports. Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z to Honor Johnny Cash

Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are among the stars who pay tribute to the late Johnny Cash in the video for his God's Gonna Cut You Down song. Chris Rock, Terrence Howard and Johnny Depp are also among the 36 artists and actors who appear in the video, all dressed in black to honour Cash. The video to God's Gonna Cut You Down, which premiered on Thursday, is the first to be taken from Cash's album American V: A Hundred Highways.
